Which method/methods do you use to calculate depth of field when shooting landscapes?
-I have a Tamron AF28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Macro on a N80 QD.
-I shoot landscapes/seascapes/found objects on the Maine Coast
-I use the aperature mode and the auto exposure mode
Just use the DOF Calculator at http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html
If you use the 28mm and focus it at 10′ your DOF will be from about 3′-6” to infinity. Anything from 8′-6” in front of your subject to as far as you can see – infinity – will be in focus.
