As a professional interior designer, I often hear that people are intimidated when I come to visit occasionally, for knowledge lest I analyze their house, but the truth is that I trained myself "not" analyze the houses without the consent of the resident – I find it to be courteous. I think it's rude if someone was going to start looking around your home without your approval instead to watch the person (you host and not your products).
When I return to the application to analyze a room there is a common mistake that I often see – that is, that furniture and furnishings are not given height in the room, so the rooms look a bit swollen at the bottom and thin at the top. Oh, no does not want to feel bloated they? – Not even a room!
What are our goals when decorating (this is a test to all my subscribers time) Answer: harmony, balance, and function! Hmm, you knew that – right? "
We therefore need make a room visually and emotionally balanced. A 'inflated' room can even make you feel overwhelmed in a room instead of big and powerful when you walk into the room.
Here are several ideas on how you can bring your height within the room:
- Wall mount shelves for your books to the library floor space
- Mount cubes for your walls to take your decor, have the back of a color display cubes of entertainment that illuminates the interior-or-not attached to any support and color your wall Shine through the cube to enliven your decor that you are showcasing in cubes
- stack of plates in your kitchen where they are visible (instead of keeping them locked in your cabinets – this will give height and a visual accent to your kitchen.
- stack books organized in piles instead of small mines "bomb" throughout your home
- instead of having an organizer office to store your files, get a wall mounted organizer (what I call your servant "for your personal folders) to organize your work and your desktop clear of clutter
- stack up artwork! Placing several pieces Art in a wall can make a larger (style) the impact when released into your home. Artwork small and medium size becomes lonely if the only part of an article on the wall.
Pop quiz again: What are our goals when decorating?
Answer: harmony, balance, and function!
Now I give you some ideas to think about, go take a look around your house! Give yourself permission to focus and be truthful about what you really see. How does your house make you feel? Is it missing some 'high'? Is he the missing ingredient cooking decor herbs called harmony, balance, and function?
